Alpacas have been a fantastic fit to our
lifestyle. We began with an initial herd of seven in the fall
of 2007, and have doubled in size since that time. Both
of us still work off the farm for the time being. Dan is a
Horticulturist graduating from the Nova Scotia Agricultural
College, as well as an ISA Certified Arborist. He has
worked for the City of Moncton as the Parks and Grounds
Supervisor for the past ten years. Melanie, a fourth
generation farmer, also graduated from the Nova Scotia Agricultural
College specializing in Animal Science, and went on to complete her
Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. She
currently practices as a Veterinarian in Moncton and
Salisbury.
Our diverse agricultural and horticultural
backgrounds have assisted in our abilities to manage our
growing herd, as well as to provide ongoing support and mentoring
to our valued clients.
